pathetic and apathetic____
harass and tease _____
exciting and excitable_____
forgery and perjury____
a textbook about and a textbook on___

Пояснение:
Оба прилагательные pathetic и apathetic имеют негативное значение. Pathetic означает ‘causing feelings of sadness, sympathy’. Apathetic имеет значение ‘showing no interest or energy and unwilling to take action’.

Глаголы harass и tease отличаются степенью воздействия и ее продолжительностью. Если tease означает ‘to laugh at someone or say unkind things about them, either because you are joking or because you want to upset that person’ (возможно даже безобидно), то harass имеет значение ‘to continue to annoy or upset someone over a period of time” (вплоть до преследований).

Exciting употребляется для описание предмета,вызывающего волнительные чувства — ‘making you feel excited’. Excitable выступает как личностная характеристика ‘easily and often become excited’.

Forgery и perjury два разных преступления. Forgery- ‘an illegal copy of a document, painting, etc. or the crime of making such illegal copies’. Perjury-’ the crime of telling lies in court when you have promised to tell the truth’.

A textbook on — учебник по определенному предмету, например ‘a textbook on Maths’. A textbook about употребляется для описание темы учебника в более разговорном варианте, например ‘a textbook about natural disasters’.
