The second Speaking part of A2 Flyers is about asking and answering questions. Children should be able to form simple questions to ask for information about people, things and situations. This will include information about time, place, age, appearance, etc. Candidates should be able to ask ‘question-word questions’ using Who, What, When, Where, How old, How many; and tenses Present Simple, Present continuous, Past simple, Future Simple and be going to.

Here is the worksheet for students to practise making questions with Present Simple, Present Continuous, Past Simple and ‘be going to’. Visual aid will help students remember question formations better. Superheroes  with capes (auxiliary verbs) show that they must be used only if the subjects are followed by action verbs. Black and white gaps illustrate past tenses, a flying car and robots relate to the construction “be going to” (can be used for Present Continuous revision are well).
