Как подобрать сериал для студента?

Просмотр сериалов — увлекательная практика, полезная для улучшения навыков понимания на слух и пополнения словарного запаса. При этом лексика в сериалах наиболее часто употребимая носителями языка, в отличие от некоторых устаревших выражений, которые кочуют из одного издания учебника в другое. 

 Часто студенты просят порекомендовать сериал для самостоятельной работы над улучшением уровня языка. Что влияет на выбор? 

• уровень языка
• интересы
• рейтинг сериала

Если не учитывать эти факторы при подборе, то учащиеся могут быстро потерять мотивацию.

Лучше всего начинать просмотр с уровня интермид. Начинающие могут смотреть адаптированные учебные сериалы, например, extr@ или сериал о друзьях в стиле ситкома к учебнику Headway, или короткие анимационные ролики на YouTube.

Убедите ученика в том, что необязательно понимать каждое слово при просмотре, важно тренировать догадку. После каждого уровня приводим примеры свежих сериалов с высоким рейтингом.

Для уровня intermediate лучше подбирать:

• по времени 20-30 минут, так как придётся останавливать видео и смотреть слова в словаре, а также просматривать некоторые эпизоды по несколько раз, чтобы услышать непонятные слова;
• нейтральный акцент (американский или британский RP) у всех персонажей; 
• не слишком быстрый темп речи актеров;
• комедию или ситком, то есть простой сюжет без профессиональных терминов и неожиданных поворотов.

• оптимально по времени 30-45 минут;
• нейтральный акцент ( (американский или британский RP) у большинства персонажей, диалект у второстепенных героев;
• сериалы с простым сюжетом, так и с небольшим количеством профессиональных терминов, например, юридических или медицинских.
