When it comes to qualifications, many teachers think that CELTA is easy to do, it’s an initial qualification and there’s nothing they don’t know. Ha-ha. When it comes to practice, we see another picture. Both novice and experienced teachers make typical mistakes: their TTT is high, don’t ask CCQs, but ask “Do you understand?”, they don’t watch the time, classroom interaction is always the same, and lesson frameworks … that’s another story.
