English with TV series. A lesson plan on The Crown (S4E1)

Running out of ideas? Don’t know what to do next with your student? No worries! Implementing TV shows, films in your lessons might be an option not to fall in a deadly routine. Nowadays there are a lot of series made on various topics and depicting a wide range of characters and events. You can always find some food for thought and your student, too. 

Here is the worksheet on the first episode, season 4 of the TV show “The Crown”.

The show has already won the hearts of millions adding some British elegance, beauty and history in our lives and it is definitely a reason to organise a speaking lesson to discuss the Royal family, historical events.

The lesson plan is suitable for Intermediate — Advanced levelled students and students should watch the episode beforehand to have a proper discussion during the lesson. At home, students should find out the meaning of the following words/phrases and remember how and in what scenes they are used.
