План урока английского языка по фильму «Марио»: обсуждаем киноновинку
Экранизация игр охватила индустрия кино, и это можно использовать как материал для занятий. Мы подготовили план урока по анимационному фильму “The Super Mario Bros. Movie”. Он подойдет для занятия с подростками с уровнем Intermediate, но также может понравиться взрослым ученикам. Ваши студенты познакомятся с новыми фразами, посмотрят трейлеры к фильму и обсудят их.

Task 1. Warm-up
Начните урок с обсуждения фотографий․
Look at the pictures. What activities can you see?
- What do you like doing more?
- Do you know any computer games based on movies? What about movies based on computer games?
Если ученики затрудняются ответить, откройте список игр основанные на фильмах и список фильмов основанные на играх.
- Which of these games have you played?
- Which of these movies have you seen?

Task 2. Lead-in
Чтобы вовлечь студентов в тему урока, включите звуковые эффекты игры «Марио». Спросите:
- What sounds are they?
- What game are these sounds from?
Дождитесь ответа. Если ученики не могут ответить, задайте им вопросы:
- Have you ever played this game? Did you like it? Why (not)?
- Do you know that there is an animated movie “The Super Mario Bros. Movie” released this month?

- What is the main objective of the game?
Task 4. Trailer 1
Для прокачки аудирования и говорения включите первый трейлер и обсудите его с помощью следующих вопросов.
- What scene does the trailer start with?
- How is Mario dressed? What about his brother and Princess Peach?
- What does Bowser want from Luigi?
- What happens when Princess Peach finds out about Bowser’s plans?
- Does Mario help the Princess? Watch the video and check what Mario needs to do to go with Princess.
1. It starts with Mario fighting the monkey.
2. Mario wears a red overall, a red hat, a red shirt and boots. His brother wears an identical outfit but green. Princess Peach wears a pink dress, pink flats/shoes, white gloves/gauntlets.
3. He wants to know where Mario is.
4. She decides to get prepared and stop the monster.
5. Yes, he does. Mario needs to finish the task.
Task 5. Vocabulary
Для расширения словарного запаса повторно включите трейлер. Покажите ученикам слова и дайте им несколько минут на прочтение. Узнайте, какие слова им знакомы, включите трейлер и после просмотра попросите найти значения.

1. It starts with Mario’s brother falling in the cage.
2. He wants to destroy the Mushroom Kingdom.
3. They are going to save the Kingdom and Mario’s brother.
Task 7. Who says it
Для ознакомления новых фраз повторно включите второй трейлер. Покажите ученикам фразы и попросите вспомнить, кто это сказал.
- There’s gotta be a way outta here.
- Whatever those things are!
- Let’s end this!
- Fresh meat for the grinder.
- Pay him no heed.
- We are going to save him.

Task 8. Burning Questions
Чтобы тренировать беглость речи, подготовьте несколько вопросов из видео The Super Mario Bros. Movie Cast Answers Burning Questions и задайте их ученикам. После каждого вопроса предложите им посмотреть ответы людей, которые озвучивали персонажей. Например:
- If you could hang out with these characters in real life for a day, what would you do?
- What character are you the most similar to? In what ways do you relate to this character?
- Which kingdom would you love to live in?
Task 9. Discussion
В конце урока обсудите ожидания учеников в мире кино.
- What game adaptation would you like to see?
- What do you think will be the next video game movie?
- What movies release this week/month/year?
