Adverbs of Manner: план урока для детей

В этом уроке дети научатся использовать наречия для описания действий (Adverbs of Manner). Задания подойдут ученикам (7–9 лет) с уровнем Pre-Intermediate.

Task 1. Warm-up

Прочитайте загадку и попросите учеников отгадать её. 

Listen to your teacher and guess what it is about. Type your ideas in the chat. 

It’s a pet. It’s not very big, but it’s usually fluffy. It’s often friendly, but not always. It catches mice. What is it?

Дождитесь ответа и покажите картинку. 

It’s a cat.

Task 2. Vocabulary 

Покажите фотографии и фразы и попросите учеников сопоставить их. 

Look at the pictures. Match them with the phrases.

a) to do tricks
b) to stand up on the back legs
c) to spin
d) to give a paw
e) to purr

Затем спросите: 

What tricks can a cat do?
For example, it can jump high. 

Task 3. Presentation 

Покажите ученикам фотографию пар пончиков и спросите: 

Look at the picture. What can you see?

Попросите прочитать предложения, соединить похожие и назвать пары слов из задания.

Read and match the same sentences. Name the pairs of words from the exercise. 

For example: slow — slowly; loud — […]?

3. A turtle is slow.
4. The girl’s writing is beautiful.

1. How do we make a new form of the word? 
2. And if the word ends in Y, e. g. «happy»? 
3. Which words have irregular form?

1. Add -ly.
2. We change the letter Y to I and add -ly.

Дайте ученикам несколько минут, чтобы выполнить задание. Объясните значение слова «howl».

Task 7. Spinning the wheel

Откройте по ссылке колесо и скажите ребятам, что вы по очереди будете крутить колесо и составлять предложения. Фразы должны описывать, как ученики что-то делают. Они получают 1 балл, если выражение составлено грамматически правильно. 

Spin the wheel and make sentences that are true for you.
