1. Theory: Mixed Conditionals
Mixed conditionals combine elements of both the second conditional (unreal condition in the present) and the third conditional (unreal condition in the past). In mixed conditionals, the condition clause refers to the past, while the result clause refers to the present (or vice versa). This blending of tenses allows speakers to discuss hypothetical situations and their potential consequences in a nuanced way.
