Voice Your Grammar: Reporting Verbs через личности по фильму «Сплит»

В фильме «Сплит» у Кевина Крамба было 23 личности, от 9-летнего шалопая до тревожного перфекциониста. У нас всех иногда происходит «раздвоение личности», когда мы видим огромный список reporting verbs и пытаемся запомнить, где идёт герундий, инфинитив и, возможно, ещё и object. Предлагаю снизить градус напряжённости и поиграть в Кевина.

Можете написать свои варианты сценариев с помощью нейросетей. Использовать голос не обязательно, но желательно. Так игра станет более занимательной и весёлой.

James McAvoy played a man with 23 distinct identities in the movie “The Split”. The 23 identities ranged from a playful 9-year-old child to an unstable perfectionist.

You will have different scenarios that will require using different reporting verbs and tones of voice! Read the scenario, pay attention to the verb and the tone of voice in each case, and paraphrase the given sentence using the verb and the tone of voice. If you don’t like the verb offered in the scenario, feel free to use a different one.

1. TO PROMISE (joyful & suspicious)
   • Scenario: a kid says they will do the chores… but they’re lying.
2. TO REFUSE (stubborn & outraged)
   • Scenario: a customer says they will not pay for burnt pizza.
3. TO THREATEN (sinister & terrifying)
   • Scenario: a villain says they’re going to freeze the world.
4. TO DEMAND (bossy & whiny)
   • Scenario: a celebrity says they want only green M&M’s in the room.
5. TO AGREE (reluctant & exhausted)
   • Scenario: a student says they will do a group project alone.
6. TO ADVISE (wise & calm)
   • Scenario: a grandma says she doesn’t think that getting a tattoo is a good idea.  
7. TO ORDER (drill sergeant)
   • Scenario: a sergeant says that all recruits must eat bugs.
8. TO OFFER (creepy & sweet)
   • Scenario: a ghost says they’re happy to share their haunted closet with a visitor.
9. TO VOW (romantic & awkward)
   • Scenario: someone expresses their eternal love… on a first date.
10. TO PREFER (snobby & condescending) 
    • Scenario: a wine critic says that you should never drink cheap wine.
11. TO DENY (innocent & baffled)
    • Scenario: a colleague says they didn’t steal the last donut from the fridge.
12. TO REGRET (dramatic & emotional)
    • Scenario: an actress/actor says they feel bad about agreeing to be in the movie.
13. TO SUGGEST (passive-aggressive & with a fake smile)
    • Scenario: a roommate says that their friend has either to clean the moldy dishes or move out.
