Summer has always been a favourite time for children to have fun, enjoy sunny days without school and just make the most of it. Kids are looking forward to having better days in summer leaving back stress and depression. Since there is no school and children have more free time, this season is also great for reading books. We have prepared a list of books for different levels and ages to read in summer.

Kids aged 6 — 8

Jasper & Ollie is written and illustrated by Alex Willan. The book is about two best friends — a fox and a sloth. Jasper is a speedy fox and does everything incredibly quickly, and Ollie, on the other hand, is moving too slowly taking his time. This, in fact, creates an interesting dynamic in the book and makes it even more entertaining. These two friends decide to go to the pool and have some fun there. Your kids will definitely enjoy it. Moreover, they can also listen to the audiobook on YouTube.

There Are No Bears in This Bakery

The author represents the story of a hungry bear and a smooth-talking narrator. The cat whose name is Muffin has a little bear bakery. But there are no bears here. Muffin protects his territory very carefully. However, once he hears some noise. Later he finds out that this is a bear.

This is a perfect and fun summer book for fans of adventure fiction. On the last day of second grade, twins Finn and Molly find out that their father traded the family car for an RV.  They discover that a camper talks. When the RV transports them to a cattle ranch in Colorado, they understand that something magical has happened. Suddenly the camper disappears. Finn and Molly are now lost and they don’t know how to get home.

Another interesting thing about this book is that each magic on the map book includes a map of the US, a map of the state that Finn and Molly visit, and 10 amazing facts about that state.

This was the list of the books that I strongly recommend my kids to read in summer and keep being motivated. Choose the one that is appropriate for your kids, and ask them to read in summer. I assure they will like it and won’t forget English during the summer.
