A. Read two stories about Easter traditions. Compare and discuss what is common and what is different.
For religious followers, Easter Sunday is an important day for attending church services.
in Russian, you don’t normally say “happy Easter” per se. Instead you say: «Иисус воскресе» (“Jesus has risen”), and the other person responds, «Воистину воскрес» (“Indeed, he has risen”).
Two of the most traditional foods served on a Russian Easter table is “kulich” and “paskha”.
The evening before Easter people dye and decorate eggs.
