Look at the pictures and describe them. Choose the one that fits your idea of a perfect summer evening.

  4. In what ways does «Jurassic World: Rebirth» differ from the earlier Jurassic World films? 
  5. Would you want to watch this movie after seeing the trailer? Why or why not?
  6. How would you feel if you saw a real dinosaur? Would it be exciting or scary? Explain.

Watch the second trailer and answer the questions below: 

  1. What new technologies does it show?
  2. Should scientists clone extinct species like dinosaurs? What are the potential risks and benefits? 

Now read the sentences from the second trailer and discuss them with your teacher: 

  • «The theme park owners did experimental work, leaving only the worst ones here.» 
  • «If we get this DNA, millions of lives are saved.»
  1. What kind of experimental work do you think the characters are talking about? 
  2. How can DNA help to save millions of lives in your opinion? 

The Surfer

  2. Have you ever tried surfing or do you know someone who has? What was the experience like?
  3. What equipment do you need for surfing and why is each one important?
  4. Why do you think courage is important to a surfer? 
  5. Can you describe a good surfing wave? How does it feel to ride it?
  6. Do you know any movies about surfing? 
Possible answers:

1. It means that in surfing, to successfully ride a wave, you must not only be focused on the path ahead (where you’re heading), but also be aware of what’s occurring behind you (the wave’s characteristics and potential for changes).
3. A surfboard to ride waves; a leash to connect the surfer to the surfboard; a wetsuit to stay warm in cold water; surf wax to enhance grip on the board; a surf bag for transportation; sunscreen for sun protection.
6. «Soul Surfer»; «The Surfer»; «The Shallows», etc.

Read some comments under the trailer of «The Surfer» and answer the questions:

  3. «That ‘Eat the raaat!’ scene is going to become a meme. Mark my words.»

Check the meaning of the words you don’t know: 

  • Rage — violent and uncontrolled anger.
  • Boiling point — the temperature at which a liquid boils and turns to vapour.
  • To hit — to kill someone.
  • Aussie — Australian.
  • Justified — having, done for, or marked by a good or legitimate reason.
  • Mark my words — used to tell someone to listen to and remember what one is saying.
  • Adrenaline pumping — exciting and stimulating.
  1. What do you think the movie is about according to comments? Is it comedy or horror? 
  2. Would you like to see the trailer after reading the comments?
