1. What is there in the city?

Посмотрите на фото и ответьте на вопросы.

• What country is it? 
• What city is this? 
• Would you like to visit it? 

На фото — Токио.

Используйте следующие слова и словосочетания, а также конструкцию there is / there are и опишите в общем, что есть в Токио и куда можно пойти. 

2. Sights of Tokyo

Прочитайте информацию о некоторых достопримечательностях и соотнесите их названия с описаниями.

1. Tokyo National Museum.
2. Japan’s oldest zoo.
3. The statue to Hachikō dog.
4. Ueno Park.
5. Tsukiji Fish Market.

a) Here you’ll find the world’s largest collection of Japanese art, including ancient pottery, Buddhist sculptures, samurai swords, gorgeous kimonos and much, much more.
b) It was established in 1882. It is home to animals from around the globe, but the biggest attractions are the giant pandas from China.
c) In the 1920s, it would journey to Shibuya Station to wait for its owner to arrive back from his daily commute. One day the owner did not return from work. It returned to the same spot to wait for its owner every day for the next nine years. It became a symbol of loyalty.
d) Best known for its profusion of cherry trees that burst into blossom in spring.
e) The most popular seafood market. It is famous for its tuna auctions where massive tuna are sold to restaurants at high prices.

Answer some questions:

3. Have you ever watched the film «Hachi: A Dog’s Tale»? What is it about?
4. What animals can you see in Japan’s zoo?
5. Do you know any other entertainments in Tokyo? What are the best souvenirs from Japan?

3. Your tour plan

Представьте, что вы турагент, который должен продать тур в Токио. Расскажите, какие места можно посетить и чем заняться. Используйте фото и лексику ниже для вашей истории.

• Tea ceremony: old tradition, learn about the art of preparing tea.
• Kimono dressing: to try on, to feel like Japanese, look elegant, to wear.
• Monuments, museums: to see, to visit, to go sightseeing, to take photos. 
• Parks, zoos: to feed deer, to see pandas, to look at exotic animals.

4. Japanese cuisine

Вам нравится японская кухня? Вы знаете эти блюда? Посмотрите на описания и сопоставьте их с картинками.

4. Tempura.

6. Udon.
7. Tamagoyaki.

a) Rice and raw or cooked seafood, vegetables.
b) Fried vegetables with sauce.
c) A noodle soup with some pork or eggs and green onions.
d) Fried pork cutlet with cabbage and sauce.
e) Noodles with different toppings.
f) A rice cake filled with ice cream.
g) An omelette.

Вы японский шеф-повар. Расскажите гостям, что они могут заказать на закуску, основное блюдо и десерт. Если гости не понимают названий блюд, объясните, используя is like / is a kind of.
