Saint Patrick’s day for kids: How to catch a leprechaun (Presentation)

It will be St.Patrick’s Day next week. Saint Patrick’s Day is on March 17th and has become the day when people around the world celebrate Irish culture. He is the Catholic patron saint of Ireland and often associated with symbols of Ireland such as the shamrock and the colour green. Leprechauns are actually one reason you’re supposed to wear green on St. Patrick’s Day—or risk getting pinched! I do love this holiday as it’s a perfect time to talk about amazing Ireland, magic and miracles. As soon as my little students hear the story about a pot of golds that tiny leprechauns hide at the end of the rainbow, their first question is «How can we catch him?» That’s when we open the book “How to trap a leprechaun” and start reading finding the answer to their question.

Here is a presentation for your online lessons. In this lesson, kids learn more about the holiday, its symbols and read the story.
