ELT Terminology (test)

There are lots of different terms and acronyms which people use when talking about English language teaching like PPP, TTT, rapport, acquisition, etc. ELT is full of special terms — some of them from linguistics, others from language teaching methodology or educational theory. Training and development involve not just the practising teaching skills and learning new techniques but also studying a specialized language to talk about them and understand them in ELT books.
