Прохождение квестов всегда занимательно, особенно когда тема Рождество. Наш рождественский квест разнообразит урок английского и заинтересует даже самых скучающих учеников. Он подойдет школьникам (10-14 лет) с уровнем Elementary и выше. Задания направлены на развития навыков говорения, аудирования, чтения и пополнения словарного запаса в рамках этой темы.
Task 1. Warm-up
Перед тем как перейти на страницу квеста, сделайте разминку. Включите видео и попросите ученикам ответить на вопросы:
- What associations do you have with this song?
- Do you know the name of this song?
- Can you guess what holiday we’re going to speak about?
Затем обсудите, какие ассоциации у них вызывает название праздника.

Если ученики любят музыку, включите еще несколько известных песен по очереди и попросите угадать.
Task 2. Lead-in
Чтобы подвести ученика к теме урока, покажите ученикам взволнованного Санту и скажите:

Task 3. Christmas vocabulary

Task 4. Time travel
На этом этапе ученикам дается возможность практиковать настоящее, прошедшее и будущее время. Также они практикуют аудирование и говорение.
Сначала ученики отправляются в Лапландию, где был Санта вчера.

Покажите ученикам утверждения и попросите после просмотра видео выбрать неправильное предложение. При необходимости объясните непонятные слова.

Another exciting Spanish Christmas tradition is to play the lottery. Almost every person in Spain takes part in the National Lottery at Christmas time. It’s called the fat lottery because it is the biggest in the world. The prize is around 2 billion euros! The history of the lottery is over 200 years and it takes place every year.
Another interesting Brazilian tradition is to jump over waves. You can see a lot of people walking to the beach on that night. Every time a wave comes in, they jump up once. And then another comes, and they jump up again. And every time they jump up, they make a wish. They do it seven times.
Brazilians think that there are special foods you should eat on that night. This food can bring you good luck for the following year. Lentils, pomegranates, and grapes are always on the New Year’s table.
Another interesting Colombian tradition is about money. If you want to have a lot of money in the coming year you should keep cash in your hand or in a pocket when the clock strikes 12. You also need to keep around you all the things you want to have next year.
One more Colombian tradition is to clean your house on the 31st of December. People clean their houses on the final day of the year to leave all bad thoughts and bad memories from the past year. Colombians believe that it helps them to start the New Year with good thoughts.
